New Apartment

After months of scouring the ads, Shan and I have finally found a new apartment. We'll be moving up to Montague Center, one of the five villages of Montague (and the nicest of the five, in my opinion) just two towns north of Amherst. The landlords are exceptionally, and even unnaturally, nice - very casual, friendly, and flexible. We will be renting the first of two floors of this early 19th-century home, which has impeccably beautiful hardwood floors, an enormous kitchen, 2 bedrooms, a giant foyer, a yard, a shed, a basement, and they're letting us have a cat. The landlords actually lived in this apartment before they bought their present house down the road, so the interior details are crisp and new, without the banged-up lived-in appearance that you typically see. Our lease starts on August 15, and I have two weeks of overlap with my present lease, so this will be one easy move. Pictures and more detailed reports to come in the future.
