Porky-pine!

I finally saw an actual live porcupine today, as opposed to the roadkilled variety, and in its den no less! I found this den near the base of Mt. Toby back in October - basically a huge rock crevice in a cliff with a dung heap at its entrance - and I've been checking it periodically ever since. Today, my perseverance paid off, and I was fortunate enough to have my camera, and even more fortunate that my pictures didn't come out blurry (well, not all of them). Now, having seen this bristly bugger, I need only to observe the incredibly elusive bobcat to complete my list of witnessing large mammals in the wild.
